The advanced Essential Oil Blend of ImmunX combines several botanical extracts and essential oils known for bolstering the immune system, helping people maintain healthy, and recovering faster from colds and cases of flu.
The extracts of the herbs and spices found in ImmunX were used throughout history to make people healthier. Several of the components, like the oregano and cedar extracts, destroy illness-causing bacteria in your body and works to stimulate macrophages and cytokines of the immune system to recognize and destroy viruses quickly (studies linked below).
The most significant benefit of this proprietary blend is the micronized oil blend that increases the potency of each of the extracts. In a study in the Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, reducing the oil particles in size, down to the nanoscale sometimes, can increase the absorption rates, increases the time in the body to be available for absorption, and reduces stress on the intestine and gallbladder.
Active Stimulating Ingredients
Oregano
Oregano has several polyphenols that are effective against infections. These include thymol, carvacrol, rosmarinic acid, naringin, and beta-caryophyllin. Several of these components are natural fungicides, antioxidants, and growth inhibitors for bacteria, viruses, and cancer. It’s been studied extensively to help with urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, parasitic infections, and works against MRSA. It also help treat and prevent Candida spread.
Clove
Clove oil is well known for helping to reduce the pain of a toothache. But, it can also help with infections as it is both an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial agent. The eugenol compound in clove is particularly effective against bacteria, funguses, and viruses. Cloves are very high in antioxidants, which can help explain its anti-cancer and immune-stimulating properties.
Cedar
Many of the volatile essential oils contained in cedar are known immunostimulants, including d limonene, b-caryophyllene, Linalool, terpinen-4-ol, carvone, and linalyl acetate. Other components, like cedrene and cedrol, are antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. Cedar can also be used to help reduce the symptoms of colds including being a decongestant and anti-inflammatory, which can relieve a sore throat and muscle pains.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is often used for people with diabetes because it’s high in antioxidants and helps regulate blood sugar. But, it can also help with colds as it’s an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory spice. Cinnamaldehyde is one of the phytonutrients used successfully to treat respiratory tract infections, bacterial infections, and mouth infections. It’s even been shown as a potential aid in fighting off the HIV virus.
Citronella/Lemongrass
A powerful antioxidant, lemongrass has microbial killing power and is often used to help treat oral infections and cavities. As with many of the other herbs on this list, it has anti-inflammatory properties. Citronella is a powerful antifungal agent, often used against Candida effectively.
Garlic Extract
Allicin and its derivatives are potent antibacterial and anti-fungal agents. Found mainly in the garlic, but it’s also in onions, shallots, chives, and leeks. In certain studies, garlic can help prevent you from getting sick and shorten the time you experience symptoms of being sick. Some of allicin derivatives have shown in studies to increase white blood cell counts, and increase the effectiveness of various lymphocytes and monocytes.
Neem
Neem oil is often used in the horticultural industry because it destroys many different types of bugs, viruses, and infections on plants. It's particularly favored because it breaks down quickly and is safe for children and pets (when used correctly). It is a powerful antioxidant, and can be used to help stimulate your immune system and ward off diseases. It's an antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral agent that helps purify the blood, strengthen the immune system, and give the body a chance to fight back against invaders. *Never use horticultural neem internally.
Sangre de Drago
Despite its name, the resin comes from several different tropical trees and is a deep red color often used for dies, incense, and spiritual purposes. Primarily from the Dracaena and Daemonorops genus, these are the most common plants that produce dragon's blood. In the past, dragon’s blood was considered a cure-all for every type of disease and illness; however, today we have studies to show it has more limited effects.
Nutritive & Antioxidants Ingredients
Coconut
Coconut is highly nutritious and good for the body, especially the oils. The 12 carbon lauric acid works in our body to metabolize into monolaurin, which has been shown to destroy bacteria, viruses, and fungal infections. The fatty acids and saturated fats become fast action energy sources, which is what the body prefers during illness.
Processed Kelp
Nearly 50% of the dry weight of seaweed is pure vitamins and minerals. It's one of the most nutrient-dense substances on Earth. One of the phytonutrients within kelp is fucoidan, and it’s been linked to slowing the spread of cancer. The high amount of iodine in kelp helps boost the function of the thyroid, which can give you more energy, increase overall immune function, and help prevent various lifestyle diseases (as long as you don't overdose iodine by adding iodized salt).
Geranium
You may not think this beautiful flower as something edible that will boost your immune system, but it’s true. The rose geranium, pelargonium graveolens, is the only geranium that can
be safely consumed. It’s a great anti-inflammatory, particularly helping sore joints and muscles, and works in the gut to reduce irritation. It’s naturally antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, and helps particularly against pathogens gaining a foothold in your system.
Camu Camu
This sour berry native to the Amazon rainforest is one of the new superfoods, being high in vitamin C and antioxidants. It contains approximately 750% of the RDA of vitamin C per teaspoon. Camu Camu also contains high amounts of anthocyanins and ellagic acid, which may have inflammation blocking powers. In one study, it was shown to inhibit the inflammation enzyme aldose reductase. There's also some evidence that camu camu might reduce bacterial growth for some infections.
Supporting Ingredients
Mint
The various mints, including peppermint, spearmint, and lemon balm, all contain lots of vitamin C, calcium, B vitamins, and potassium that support your immune system functioning well. Traditionally, peppermint was used to help calm the body. It's a warm and stimulating herb that helps fight off respiratory illnesses, fever, and chills.
Mints are also excellent for the digestive system, helping to relax peristalsis and increasing the defense abilities of the gut biome against stomach flu. It can also help reduce the inflammation of the guts, which can allow the immune system to fight the real invaders.
Chrysanthemum
Chrysanthemum contains high amounts of both vitamin A and vitamin E, which support the immune system. It also has a mild anti-inflammatory, which can help reduce the symptoms of your illness, including irritated eyes, congestion, sore throats, and headaches.
